About

Kim Headshot

Greetings, friends! My name is Kim Sison (she/her) and I am a graphic designer and illustrator based in Toronto, Canada. I have been doodling since I was a little girl growing up in Manila, Philippines. I often drew storyboards of fantastical events that popped up in my imagination. My love for visual storytelling eventually led to a passion for film and animation. In 2007, I graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Image Arts: Film. I also continued to explore many creative avenues, trying my hand at everything from digital art, to custom vinyl toy design, to traditional and mixed media, and even cosplay and nerdlesque.

Today I work in Toronto as a graphic designer for film and television. I specialize in designing graphics for props, costumes and set pieces seen on screen. I also enjoy doing freelance print design and illustration, having completed commissions for clients such as Silver Snail Comics, Toronto Metropolitan University and Adam Savage’s Tested.

When I am not in front of a computer screen, I can usually be found indulging in many nerdy activities, producing nerdlesque shows, going on travel adventures, watching musical theatre, and playing with my three cats and my giant dog.

Check out this Tested.com interview with Adam Savage where I nerded out about my job!
